Heritage Graphics is pleased to offer "street photography" shot primarily from 1930 to 1980, often captured on small, handheld 35mm cameras. Photographers were not interested in the monuments of cities, but rather the dynamic life on the streets. These photographers had a tremendous effect on the American perception of city life. Street photography employed a unique documentary style with the subjects often unaware of the photographer. Many of these photographers championed social-minded and progressive photography as members of the famous Photo League from 1936-1951; they are now represented by the Howard Greenberg Gallery and their work is available from Heritage Graphics.
